I think its pretty clear that, if things continue the way they are now, Michael Schumacher has little chance of winning the 2006 World Championship.

The same goes for Raikkonen. Even if both Ferrari and McLaren up the ante, Alonso would do fine with second or third. I'm really surprised that Renault were able to maintain their speed and momentum through 2006, and I don't see that changing.

After the French Grand Prix though, it seems as though Ferrari has caught up and maybe even overtaken Renault in terms of speed. The new Bridgestone tires work overwhelmingly well with the Ferrari in Schumachers hands. If the championship is still in arms reach for the German seems a bit unlikely. Alonso seems as though drive this one home, unless almost everything goes wrong from now on for him and his luck streak finds its match. We should probably concentrate on Massa Raikkonen, Montoya etc. on who will come in second. And in the constructors Toyota seems as though they might be able to do something, that would give the run for the constructors and interesting added variable. :)
