I don't think WWIII will happen anytime soon because of The USA and UK not caring about anything that doesn't directly involve their countries.

It should be taken into consideration though that many events around the world are easily connected to both of these countries, especially the United States. It might not be in their interest but international relations and foreign policies and interests can serve both of them positively and if negatively then involvement could be necessary as well. I'm not saying WWIII is around the corner and surely not the US and UK as its starters but from what's going on around the world these days, and where it seems to be heading, then the idea of a new World War starting doesn't seem too far fetched really.

Well with the Democrats taking over both the House and the Senate, I'm hoping we see a slight shift in foreign policies. But the Democrats need to take advantage of the situation as soon as possible, because there's not much time left until the next election...

It's actually the opposite, the US has it's nose in too many other people's business. We're still in S. Korea after over 50 years. We have bases all over the world in places that make no sense. Why do we need a base in Denmark??? The Democrats are usless. We need a leader that knows what it takes to get along in the world and not stir up shit. (Ron Paul anyone :whistling:) We could go to war for oil more than we already are but WW3 will only happen if China gets involved somewhere. They are the only country out there that even has a chance. As long as the US has nukes we will always be the superpower of the world. Too bad it's by force not by example. :(
I'm just worried about the zombie invasion....are you prepared, what's you plan? I for one am getting an Armalite AR-30 and plenty of ammo. Another case of MRE's and I'll have a months supply of food! Can we say roof top?? Awwwww yeaaa!!

You guys probably do have your nose in too many places, but then again that is the sweet price you pay for being a superpower, and trying to maintain that status for years to come.
I could really imagine that the next World War will be scripted, a whole play written beforehand with a great media campaign and a cool slogan, 'Unearthing Evil' or something like that. Of course, that is if there is another World War.
You're right about China, even though their nuclear stockpiles are far less than what the US has. The thing is though a war of that magnitude is just too expensive. For the US, there are many other factors involved, but for those who do not have an economy built on petrol and the arms industry, a war just doesn't make sense. That's why the US has the localized wars at the moment, and I hope that the next US President changes more things for the good :)
