Who is The Stig? It's a question that mankind has struggled to answer since the creation of the universe. Vote for who you think The Stig actually is.

You know it's funny that I just talked about that to a friend of mine the other day

I mean how long has Top Gear been around? And in all those years, we have yet to find out who the Stig really is. In fact, it's probably one of the best kept secrets.

I hope that on the last ever episode of Top Gear, they'll show who The Stig is.

I reckon that The Stig is a professional racer. I mean how can somebody that is so good at driving not race for a living?

I think we can say he isn't a presenter after the episode on Sunday.

I don't think he's one of the presenters, to be honest. But the thing is, he still could be. It didn't actually show the presenters and the Stig together. There wasn't any proof that the Stig was even racing while the boys were building the kit car.

But maybe I'm just being paranoid.

When they got The Stig to drive cars around the Isle of Man (I think it was there), all three presenters were with him, so I really doubt he's a presenter.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that episode. Maybe the Stig is several different people.

I highly doubt that cause it would make all result even more inconsistent and more dependant on individual driving skills. :?

Even though I wanna know who he is, I know that it can only be a disappointment. That's the reason why they'll never show his face. We'd know the Stig as a man, and not as a symbol.

I wanted to know who he is, but now I don’t. It’d spoil the whole ‘Stig mystery’

This is the reason why I skipped the part about where the Holy Grail is in The Da Vinci Code.

It turns out that there have been two Stigs in the past. In fact the last one, who wore all black, was Perry McCarthy (who you might recall was a test driver for numerous teams).

The identity of the current Stig is not known. The gap between his helmet and his race suit indicates that he is a white male. We also know that he wears size 10 racing boots.

Other clues and hints have also surfaced. When Damon Hill was featured on the show, he was allegedly asked by Clarkson whether he was the Stig, and Hill did not deny it. Now we know why Hill doesn't have time for GPM! :D

There have been other occasions where Clarkson commented on the contrary, saying that the Stig could not be an F1 driver.

The Stig is listed under F1 Drivers on the Top Gear website.

No, it's not Hill. As much as I'm English and I like the guy, he doesn't look like he would do something like that for Top Gear...
