Hey everyone,
I was wondering what everyone's favorite NASCAR track was. My favorite is personally Bristol, just because the track itself is so small and tilted (much like one big turn) and with the cars going as fast as they are, the race usually tight (quite literally) and crashes are everywhere (I'm sorry, but one of the most exciting parts about NASCAR is the crashes :D)

What's your favorite track and why?

Watkins Glen. I had to go for a non oval track. I'm not a fan of oval racing.:o

I also like Watkins Glen, has a lot of F1 history too :D . Bristol and the Texas 500 are just as interesting. As for the title, Jimmie Johnson will probably drive it home, he's done a good job.

Watkins Glen is pretty cool, actually - not really typical NASCAR circles, and things tend to get pretty chaotic sometimes (but good chaotic, chaos is sometimes needed in auto racing). You're right though, a break from the normal ovals is most always welcomed.

BRISTOL!!! You got it dead on! Bristol has 43 cars racing around a tight 1/2 mile track, it gets ugly, and there's action all over the track! Definitely my favorite track by far, and if you haven't seen Bristol live, you still haven't seen Bristol. The second reason I love Bristol, you can see the whole track in nearly any seat in the house! You don't have to miss most of the race, just because you wanted to see it live!

my fave track has to be the indianapolis speedway bacause it has had a great motorsport history [remember in f1 when there were only around 8 cars left on the track!]

In 2005 there were only 6 cars to start.

I don't follow NASCAR at all but I wouldn't mind catching a NASCAR road race. I bet that gets interesting.

well, im not a very big fan nascar, but i like the Talladega circuit, the reason its because the only fun in ovals are the superspeedways

Me neither. But I did watch the race in Mexico. That was pretty cool. I think that would qualify as a road race:confused:. My vote is for Mexico:thumbsup:

Hey look at that! The race at Watkins Glen is on right now!:D Not bad:cool:. Better than a big nasty oval.

I like those big nasty ovals! And the small ones too!! :(

As for favourites...on the ovals, Bristol all the way! had the night race last week. Has to be the best motor racing spectacle of the year! Shame Kasey didn't manage to get a win though...

And for the road racers out there. Favourite road course? Infineon Raceway, Sonoma. Always produces a great race, although the Glen was pretty good this year too. ;)
