You know back in school when I first learned about the solar system, Pluto was considered one of the nine planets of our solar system.
There wasn't really much known about it, and although over the years we've found out more, but not really that much either.
Now scientists have officially announced that Pluto is no longer a planet. It is only a 'dwarf planet', so make sure you get the semantics right on this one.
If you're wondering why, the scientific community agrees that in order to be a considered a "planet" a celestial body must be in orbit around a star while not itself being a star. Pluto was "disqualified" because its oblong orbit overlaps with the planet Neptune.
Pluto (DNQ) :p :D

Pluto (DNQ)
That's pretty clever. I think the sad part about this is that people actually debated about this for years about it's classification. I think these people need to get a social life, really...I just can't imagine debating that long and having so many conferences on whether we consider it a planet.. :) Now it's ruined my memorization of the planets in the solar system, sort of.

So that's what went wrong with my race picks. When I checked the position of the planets I included Pluto.:)

How am I going to remember the order now. It used to be:
"My very excellent mother, just served us nine pancakes."
She can't just serve us nine. This coming from the scientists that decided that we can no longer use the "l" to stand for litre. We have to use "dm3", because we may mistake the "l" as a "1".

I've never seen nachos in England, the only place I've heard of them is The Simpsons "Nacho, nacho man. I wanna be, a nacho man etc..."
It is a good attempt though, but is there anything that's a little more British?

This is what astrophysicists, and astronomers get paid to do.
