They are on tour which I think is a great thing to get more attention to V8's outside of Australia.

Who do you guys think is going to bag the Desert 400?

It's going to be interesting to see if the Ford v Holden battle catches on in Bahrain. They tried it in China a couple of years ago and it failed.

Rick Kelly(Holden) and Lowndes(Ford) are leading at the moment and I think that they would be the ones to watch. Also lookout for Ingall, Skaife and Winterbottom.

They're using a smaller version of the F1 track for this race.

Jason Bright was the overall round winner in the first round at this track. Todd Kelly came second followed by Tander, Lowndes and Steven Richards.

Race 1 1st Bright, 2nd Tander, 3rd Todd Kelly.
Race 2 1st Tander, 2nd Bright, 3rd Winterbottom.
Race 3 1st Todd Kelly, 2nd Bright, 3rd Lowndes.

Realistictly only Rick Kelly and Lowndes can win the drivers title in the last round.

Bahrain was a flop. Look at the grandstands......I swear I saw tumbleweeds in the seats

I agree about the lack of crowds at Bahrain but that's where the money is. I expect more races to be raced outside of Australasia.

I believe the admission was free either for the Desert 400 or for the 24h race in December, and still no one bothered to come.

We were racing in the Middle Eastern version of the V8.
