As you know, Anthony Davidson has found a real job driving a Formula 1 car for Super Aguri. Although I think it's great we've got another British driver in the field, I can't help but think he's missed the boat.

The Friday times tell us he's still super fast, but it's been 6 years since he last drove an F1 car competitively (Excluding Malaysia 2005 because he only did a lap and a bit).

What do you think? Has he passed his F1 sell by date?

I can't see him making it big time. At best he will be a midfield driver.

I'm interested on how the British press treats him.

I agree with that to a certain extent. It'll be a tough hill to climb, and it will be pivotal for him to consistently beat his team mate. If he does and with a few surprise perfomances given his probably obsolete (compared to the rest of the field) car he just might make a jump to a better team.

Of course for now the important thing is that he got a race seat

I expect they'll treat him like Button, but he won't deserve it, well, not straight away.

We all know he's a good tester, but I'll have to wait and see what he can do during a race. The kid has got speed, has participated in 3 races, so he knows the drill of a race weekend.

Think he's gonna be alright, he's a good guy:D

Honestly, apart from his driving abilities, I don't know that anybody in Super Aguri is going to be alright. This season was pretty chaotic (as expected) and they (even with Honda support which doesn't go far beyond engines) have a tight budget. With manufacturer's now having their own teams, I'm not sure how long Super Aguri is going to last.

I know it's going to last as long as Honda wants a second team running under their control (to a lesser extent of course). But when Honda decides to pulls the plug, it'll be over.

Welcome to the WRF Jerome! :D

When you put it like that, it makes Minardi look like Ferrari.
