What's Your World Ranking?

I guess we're getting closer to start a WRF Batracer season so I thought it was time to check out the competition.

The question is easy. What's your Batracer world ranking?
(look at Results --> World ranking)

I'm probably worst:
1386th
with 2% wins, 2% poles and 16% podiums

You need to have had 35 public race starts to get a world ranking.

It went down again to 317 because I started a new championship (1986 Season), so hopefully I can make it again.

My first season was very interesting. I had a team mate who was a 3-time world champion, but the guy turned out really fair. I won only twice, but 8 podiums and 7 other point finishes meant I won with one race to go and 26 points ahead of the runner up.

To do this in a BMW Sauber is even more gratifying :D

Hoping for an equally successful 1986 season ;)

But I think I won that 1986 season you are talking about. You were John Speed in the McLaren. Right? I think you posted an add for the WRF league and that's how I came to this site.

Oh and under the new ranking system I'm ranked exactly 500th.

Hehe, you did! :lol: I had a good start to the season but then it all went down the rain because I kept stalling on the grid. Even when I lowered it to an extreme, I still stalled. Very disappointing :(

My team mate Roland went on to battle Ryan for the title, but it wasn't enough at the end. And that's the story :lol:

I think the WR system is not working very fairly in there. It still favours "cherry picking" very much. My ranking is 792th and I'm constantly beating teamies with better ranking.

It not only favours cherry-picking, but is heavily bias towards people who have been on BATracer from the start. If you look through the top ranked players, most of them have been here since the first few months, when the fields were very easy as there were no Mid-Season replacements. Now, the fields are usually pretty tough, so its near impossible for newer players to move up to the top. A fair system should only take into account recent recent results - say the past 4-6 months.

For winning a ChampCar title I got just over 100 points .. for winning an F1 2007 title in a McLaren I got the same. Cherry pickers rule!

Theres no insentive for people to take slower cars either. I finished P3 in a Spyker overall recently - what did I get? Nothing. IMO thats worth a lot more than a Championship in a McLaren.

How does the ranking system work? Is there a guide somewhere. I'm ranked 1720 with 320.xx points (WR points) and everyone around me is in the 100's of points (1xx.xx) I have a much higher point count but a lower rank. :confused: Like I said if there's a guide on it I can go read it.

WR is usually updated in every 24 hours, but the whole system is f**ked up so dont worry about it too much. I think the formula is based on two factors: absolute numbers of champ wins, race wins, championships, fast laps, poles, podiums and laps led and percentages of the same over total number of champs and races. Downside is that it's not balanced. So winning a race with Ferrari is the same than winning it with Spyker...

Don't worry about it, just make sure you're consistent. Easier said than done, I know :D.

I guess you can always pick a top team, and it is here that BATracer has yet to devise a more fair seat distribution system (something the WRF has and recently revised ;)).

Go and try some other carsets with "even" cars, like a1gp or LMES and such. At the moment I try to avoid F1 07 and 86 games, I've done them too much. :p

I've moved up to 109th on my first account! :D 7 championships in 50 public games (although very cruel luck has stopped me from doubling that - twice finishing level on points, but with less wins and quite a number of times being passed for P1 in the final race or two). 114 poles, 100 wins, 332 podiums!

I think I am the worst player:banghead: on WRF.I don't have much knowledge about setups and I have started watching F1 from the last year only.I don't know the meaning of Suspension OR Anti Roll Bar but still I try to do as much as I can.My cousins make fun of me because they think that Formula1 and other motorsports are boring.Could someone here tell me the right driving style in batracer.

Well in General, suspension and anti roll bar define how stiff your car is. You really don't need to know any of this stuff, just check the Engineers Advice every time you begin to do your setups. There is 3 types of advice messages, it's either soft/safe, medium or stiff/loose for every value.

In sliders when 0 is the lowest possible value, 50 is the mid point and 100 the highest, then again in General when some advice is ie. STIFF, then the value for your slider will be 50+ (tho there has been exceptions).

As it comes to your driving style sliders....well unless someone is willing to share you their own it's all about experimenting the sliders untill you go fast enough with minimum amount of errors. ;)
