Well part of the reason it's been changed is that in the world of motorsport, Formula 1 is not necessarily at the top of the pyramid. It is surely up there, but you can't really say that's the ultimate level for a racer.

You can't really force a person to be an F1 Champion when he wants to be a MotoGP champion :D
