Roberto Locatelli took a horrible crash today at the tire barrier approching the paddock today in the second free practice for the 250cc race. He broke several face bones including his nose, jaw and cheek bone. No signs of brain damage thus far. He also re-fractured his collar bone and punctured his left lung. Also an open fracture and dislocation of his left ankle which may never heal.
He has been placed in a drug-induced coma and is in intesive care at Cadiz hospital.

Our hopes and prayers go out to Roberto and his family on his speedy recovery.

Vale certainly sent a message to the rest of the field today. This championship is his for the taking. It looks like they overcame the problems they had 2 weeks ago, that's for sure!

The race was boring, but good that Rossi 1st and Edwards 3rd.

You're right, it could have been a whole lot more exciting.

Thanks for the 'Vid of the week', Jo!
I wouldn't have seen Rossi's gag otherwise:lol: .
I was sure that Hopper was going to overtake Hayden when he crashed. It looked weird, his left leg just shot up and away from the bike, then presto, gravel bath. Too bad. His busted up wrist is probably still giving him grief...
