For a guy with a compression fracture of the lower back, he seems awfully nonchalant. One would think that would hurt just a little bit. I have a 'trick back', and I b*tch about it constantly:lol:

I don't know when he hit the wall, practice or qualifying, but he's been told 3 months recovery and he hopes it's quicker than that. He's lucky he can walk, let alone race in 3 months! Tough-guy much?

Yea that would be a remarkable recovery, but as you said, a compression fracture to his back is not an easy injury :(

I expect it to take a bit longer until he fully recovers. In racing everybody is a tough guy (or at least should be   )

This really blows.

Tracy is the only reason that Champ Car has been worth watching over the last 5 years.

Long Beach was a good indication of a Champ Car without Tracy. Bourdais on pole, leading every lap, and then winning. How did he drive a full second per lap faster and still get far better fuel economy than everyone?

Tracy is the only who could get Bourdais riled up and get him off his game. Plus it's fun to watch Tracy's antics. Badmouthing other drivers in the media, leading 30 laps with a broken front wing then forgetting to pit and running out of fuel, fights with other drivers, etc.

ahhh, it's going to be a dull season in Champ Car without him. :(

I hope he's right, because as you said, he really adds to the series :)

Well it looks like he's been given the OK to race. That's amazing! That must be some intense rehab program. Maybe a little help from a hyperbaric chamber? I heard today on the radio that he's been cycling 80 miles a day. I get tired just thinking about it. Sheesh!

He's been doing that for several years now.

He's in much better shape than his Penske days where he was no lighter than 200.
