Another fine moment, brought to you by NASCAR:rolleyes:
After the race at Phoenix, NASCAR fined Juan 10 grand and put him on probation 'till Dec. 31st for giving a cameraman an "obscene" jesture on live TV. Officials say it was all in fun as Juan thought the cameraman following him was from a crew that was doing a documentary on him.
"I really feel bad that the incident happened," Montoya said. "It was only meant as a joke to one of my friends. I completely understand NASCAR's point of view and their decision."
Tony Stewart made the same gesture toward Jimmie Johnson during a March race in Atlanta this season and wasn't penalized. That also was captured on live TV. A week later, Johnson replied with the same. No fine. Stewart also made the same gesture to Carl Edwards last year at Pocono. Again no fines:confused:

That is very strange. Maybe someone should ask that question a NASCAR official
But you know it could have something to do with the network or channel that was affected by the gesture, maybe even the timing

It has a lot to do with the super-conservative, overly 'politicaly correct', "We have to protect the 'community values' and the children" nature of the FCC (federal communications commission) in the US. Led by You-know-who.
Quite often it is out of fear of fines and penalties for the network, brought about by one angry troglodyte who finds it offensive and threatens to boycot an advertiser or makes a complaint to the FCC (yes, all it takes is ONE!). It all started with Janet Jacksons boob:eek: at the Superbowl a few years ago for crying out loud. The media hasn't been the same since.
Yeah, they can show all the blood, gore, killing, hatred and violence they want, but heaven forbid anyone should see a boob, or a 'bad' word. *bangs head against a wall*

The bleeping of bad words on TV must be the silliest rule ever. I'm glad I can say whatever I want if I ever get on national tv. Not that I'd want to use a lot of bad words on my TV debut, but it's nice to know that I have the option. :D
The only bleeps we get over here are from lame hip hop videos from USA that they didn't bother do a proper un-bleeped version of.

Wouldn't you know it, the 'S**T' episode of South Park is on RIGHT NOW! What a coincidence.

You mean they dub over the bleep with the words that were supposed to be there in the first place:confused: I think ya lost me. But if that's the case, that's eff'ing rediculous!
Rap/hip hop sucks anyways, who cares. Pfft :p

I love the way the FCC runs here. It's comedic how they bleep the words, fuzz out boobs (you gotta watch showgirls on network tv to see the best FCC work*) and after that show people getting blown to bits all over the place. I mean look at the gore in the CSI shows and tell me that that is better than a tittie. This is a sexually frustrated country. Why do you think we love our phallic symbol guns and bombs. I mean basically we go to Iraq to c**k slap them. They let NASCAR be on tv but not boobies and curse words. What a country!! Same people let Weed be illegal while booze and tobacco product are legal. Oh well, I'm moving to Costa Rica when I hit 45.
*They "airbrushed" bras on over what is actually boobs to make it better. I've also seen times on "The Girls Next Door" where they just fuzzed the nipples. So you have a full naked boob with a tiny fuzz spot. Might as well show the damn thing. Oh and then they blurr a little of the butt crack but not all of it. Like there's a 2 inch max crack allowance. Oh well

Sexually repressed is more like it. But hey, compared to MANY places on the globe, it's not that bad. Heck, some places, you'd be killed just for thinking that. I won't name names, Iran. Ooops!
Why Costa Rica?

Why Costa Rica?
Pick up a copy of Endless Summer 1 & 2. I want to open a Surf Shop/ Tour guide/ Surf trip(camp) in Tamarindo. I may have to adjust the location due to American Retirees though.
