I am about to depart on the first inter galactic move in the history of man.
I am moving all the way from mars to Canada.
Now, I'll finally be able to get Google!
The process should take only a few hours if I go at light speed. So, I'll arrive soon!

Welcome to Planet Earth. If you need someone to pick you up from the airport, let me know, but I'll be a few minutes late as I need to cross the Atlantic first :p

Why Canada? It's only hockey and syrup, you know. :D

Uhh. You forgot the 3 main ingredients....

1. The best beer in the world

2. The best weed in the world (not that I advocate or condone use of said weed:rolleyes:  )

3. The hottest chicks in the world, second only to Sweden in that regard.

Oh and I guess, no George W.

Did I mention free health care?

1. The best beer in the world

After looking up at my local store I can't even try if that one's even remotely true. I was hoping for a good long, and extremly subjective, test tomorrow. :D

That's a beauty little vignette there eh? Oh geez! I think I shed a tear eh!

Coo loo coo coo coo coo coo coo!

Good luck with that! That's a damn fine idea though. Too bad I can't join you to debate who's got the finer fermentations. Let me know what your exhaustive research discovers:thumbsup:

The testing session will go down in a couple of hours it seems like. I guess it'll be a fine mix of German, Czech, Brittish, Swedish and perhaps something American. I haven't gone shopping yet so I don't know what I will find. :)

This time there will be some kind of official scores put down on paper. The last of these sessions we had no official papers so well... the results are unknown... I do think we did agree with "mmm.... beer", though.

What?!? No Canadian beer? IF you do, stay away from Molson or Labatts. It's mass produced pisswater. YUCK!

I'm jealous, I'm just getting ready to leave for work. Short day though. So the imbibing will begin in about 6 hours. I can't say I've seen any Swedish beer. Can you recommend one to a beer connissour(sp). Preferably one without meatballs in it:lol:

I'm a big IPA fan myself. Anything with lots of hops.

Sorry to derail your thread there Ben. Way to go guys! It's now officially a trainwreck!

Didn't mean to hijack it gang style:lol: But while we're at it!!!

The beer de jour! Phillips Brewing Co. Victoria BC. 'Blue Truck Ale'
A delicious west-coast style, full of fruity hops to make it crisp but not to bitter or dry. A lovely amber-red color with just enough malt to make it refreshing and not too heavy. It should be enjoyed best in a cold glass to fully appreciate the fragrant nose that bubbles up to your senses.
Recomended food pairings - Lamb, BBQ ribs, spicy asian curried noodles.

Alexander. Keiths. Period.

The flavour of the Maritimes.

Not to be a dick, but you're kidding right?

It's the furthest thing from a true IPA that you can find. I've had it and I could barely taste any hops at all and find it tastes just like Blue or LGD. That's great if you like it, but it's not for me.

What?!? No Canadian beer?

No, I couldn't unfortunately find any. The testing went pretty ok with the Czech beers scoring highly; Gambrinus, Krusovice and Zlatopramen.

The Swedish beers in our test weren't anything exciting; Åbro, Sarek and Arboga.

A South African beer called Castle was pretty decent.

The Corona smelled like a urinal and was together with the German Holsten Premium the worst of yesterday's lineup.

The winner, however, was a Brittish Ale called Spitfire.

All beers were drinkable though! :D

Thats all right. I don't mind anyone defending my "new" country. I could hardly remember the names of the countries on mars.

I'm not crazy about Holsten either, and Corona's are, well, Corona's. When it's stinkin' hot out after a long day I've been known to put several away. But you have to put a wedge of lime in it to make it drinkable and it has to be ICE COLD.
I ran out of Blue Truck last night and had to break out the Stella Artois, the fine Belgian lager. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.

On your flight in, you may have noticed that Canada is HUGE. Whereabouts are you, without giving us GPS co-ordinates. West coast? East coast? Prairies? T.O.?
My friend made some 'martian' beer once. Worst hangover EVER!
