Hello everyone.

This is my first time on here as I am looking for some help.

I am a passionate karting driver and i would like to progress into proper racing, but I don't know what step to take next.

A friend of mind told me there are various competitions out there where you can win a drive or something, but I don't know where to start....any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I guess it depends a bit on where in the world you're located.

If you're from America then Skip Barber Racing schools have some kind of yearly karting shoot-out where the winners get racing scholarships:

As a Karter myself I had similar asperations.

In my opinion there is no proper route to take. Just keep winning races, and get your name out there. If you're good enough you will get somewhere. It might not be F1 or whatever you want most but something will happen.

Just keep winning and go where the wind takes you.

Just keep talking to the people that show up at your kart races. Tell people often that you're ready to move on to another level. Eventually you'll come across someone who's ready to be a part of a new race team.
