So I guess IRL doesn't have wet tires? What's up with that. Is it just not safe enough even if they had wet tires. I know CHAMP Car and F1 race in the wet, but they are going slower on average due to the turns on the track. I was trying to watch IRL at Nashville but there's a rain delay. Oh well.
So with the reschedule of this race, I missed it. Not sure it was on TV. Anyway, I guess Kannan (I really need to find out how you spell that) crashed out. Not sure about much else. I used to bam Hornish when he was with a Chevy team. I have to say that I like Kannan now, and as always am behind Danica (calm down Salty, I know what ur thinking:lol:)

You (and I) wish:cool:. I still think Milka is hotter...
Three A's, two N's for Tony. Kanaan.
Like Ryan pointed out in an earlier thread, the cars won't handle the rain on an oval. It'd be bye-bye time for everyone. The G's on a banked track won't physically let them do it.

Thanks. I hate spelling things wrong. I figured as much about the inability to run in the wet. I agree about Milka too.

Rain usually causes some chaos, and looking at ovals, it's the last thing needed. In regular races there's an occasional crash, but to have one every few laps would mean it could take a week for the race to finish!
There are no run-off areas on an oval. When a car spins, it usually slides into the wall, and unless it rolls towards the inside run-off area, the race would need to be stopped :wonder:
Maybe they could redesign the track to allow someone to spin off and stay out. But then they'd have to move the stands for the audience and it would be very difficult to implement (as there would be an oval ramp surrounding the oval itself) :p
