The only race on TV was race 1 prior to the F1 event. Not too spectacular. Timo Glock didn't do so well after starting on the 1st row. The only excitement was a big crash on the front straight. Earlier in the lap, two cars get together and slam wheels. Later on one of the cars ran wide with the suspension damage and lost the left rear wheel. That sent the car slamming into the wall pretty hard and then threw debris all over the track as the car spun from the left side to the right side of the front straight. In all a few other cars were collected by the spinnig car and debris.

Who crashed at the wall was Luca Fillipi, but the championship is very good, Luca de Grassi its just one point behind Glock and didnt win one single race

Thanks for the info. I went on the GP2 site to see who it was with no luck. Now I can try to find the footage.

Ya, that was a hell of a crash. It still amazes me how safe the cars really are though. Look at the last few races in GP2, IRL, and F1 where there were big crashes. Almost no major (and no fatal) accidents. I wish our road cars were that safe.
