View Full Version : It's Tough to Get Into a Good Team in a Public Game

I don't remember it being this hard in the days where it wasn't divided into Academy / Pro.

There needs to be more of an incentive for people to join low-level teams. Like some form of point multiplier or something. Because the way things stand it takes ages for a game to fill up

Yes, you almost have to luck yourself into a good seat. That's how I got the Williams that I won my F1 1986 title.

Or you can wait until one game has only one seat left, then refresh the page rapidly until a new game opens. That's how I got the Ferrari that I won my F1 2007 title in.

But yes some games, epsecially F1 1986, take very long to get going once all the top teams are gone.

True. 1986 series is fun because there is more teams which you can win with. Driving low performance cars should reward you more when it comes to WR. I'm doing pretty good with Toyota in one series but it doesn't matter much IMO. But if you are driving with top 3 cars in 07's and you don't win....bye bye your WR.

I'm having maybe the worst luck ever in 07, got Ferrari there and I'm getting every kind of problem all the time. Not only the McLarens are faster in car comparsion, but also the BMW. I'm still 2nd in the series as the season is coming to it's end but have had only 1 victory so far and very few podiums...My advice is to get Macca or BMW if you are able to cherry pick in 07 :)

I agree with the BMWs...they're always fast!

I'm in that same 07 series though, and it is seriously competitive. I'm in a Renault and i'm in points earning positions in most races and something happens. One win, one second, but nothing else.

Not sure about the McLarens, they seem to be hit and miss, but i'd definitely go for a BMW if there's one there! :)

Actually I was talking about a different game, mixed things up a bit..
This is how my season looks like in Ferrari 2007.

I seem to have extra pitstops cause of driving errors, slow lap times, crashes etc. Some of the results are bad because of idle teamie but almost everyone bad one is because of some unwanted events in the race. Three races to go and there is not even mathematical change to win the title, 2nd is still possible while I'm 4th now :)

Sorry, yeah I see...well, second is still ok! I would be very happy with that...

Mind you...this :finishfirst: would be better ;)

Sometimes you do need pure luck. I was checking the Join Public Game page a little while ago and came across an F1 2007 game with 0 cars taken!! .. but I'll be going on holiday this Thursday, so I couldn't take a McLaren.

I didn't want to start a new thread so here goes.

I'm in this MR2 game (not the one with Salty) and there are these 2 teammates that are fighting online. One got mad at the other an "Declared War" on him.:lol: It's just so funny to watch.

I have no sufficient grounds to sack my teammate David Alatorre Lopez, as he is not missing sessions at all, and I don't believe that thing he does that annoys me is done delibarately to annoy me, but rather maybe for lack of care

But annoy me the thing does nevertheless, and one who is part of the team should care for his partner I deem and believe

I refer to his habit to test later than I'm able to check his testing. I would not have had an issue if it was the only possible time for him to come online and he stated so to me.

He did not, though, and, as it is, I see him online at other times too more often than not (last time I saw his helmet 10 minutes ago, yet he failed to test, just AGAIN, and regardless several request made by me for him to please test earlier)

Therefore I officially declare war, he is my main rival now, I dennounce the title chase as my main goal from now on, and I announce my new main goal to beat him w/out his help

Therefore I withdraw my help from him, and I'm going to hide my setup from him now on. I also turn off team cooperation

He'll have the upper hand in this round, as I've already posted setup data of current round for him in the morning, but for the races that remain, we shall see

Good luck, DavidHis reply was all blah blah about how he has class and this and that....excuses. Now they are hiding their settings and disabling cooperation. I suspect that aggro slider will be at max.:lol::lol:

Haha , I think it's actually worth a fresh thread. Along the lines of 'BATracer War Coverage'

Don't just limit yourself to F1. Play games like LEMS, or V8 Supercar, or Champ Car, or A1GP. The cars in those series are equal and everyone can win.
