Am I the only one?

Quite often, after a stint or short period of time between logins, a lot of my settings have changed. Things like time of quali and how much effort. And my pitstop strategy quite often isn't the same as I'd left it. Often I'll set my quali and race stuff ahead of time, just in case I can't be around for it. Now I'm starting to wonder:confused:.

Plus, some of you may say I'm just whining.... But I've never crashed as much as I have lately. It's not like I'm cranking up my numbers. I think they're pretty conservative actually. The last A1GP sprint, I did crank things up a little more than usual, and people were FLYING by me, but I didn't crash:confused:.

Do you click the save button after changing things?

I seem to have seen similar things happen. I quali'd 21st in my F1 series. Apparently the weather switched on me but I never new it. Dry weather start with the good setup I had should leave me ok for the race. Sux to be at the back. I think it's acting a little screwy sometimes too.

Always. And I often double and triple check.

I've never had anything like that happen to me.

Well I have no other explanation but the save button. Press it and let it load the page again. Never happens to me. What browser do you guys use?

When it comes to weather, be sure you change your tyres to suitable ones for qually and race start. Wet weather tool (comes with kool tools) is very handy, but changing setups manually ain't that hard either. Both me and Jo didn't have KT at WRF league 1 and we finished 1-2 in the series.

And remember that "bone dry" can change also, which is kinda funny. Usually it only changes for 1-2 units but it still happens. For me it was about at my 100th start and I was confused.:rolleyes::lol:

I'm using stupid IE:rolleyes:. Now I've become paranoid:lol: I'm checking everything over and over. I thought it might have something to do with the BATRacer cookies. I noticed it a couple of times after I cleared all my temps and what not. Who knows. I'll keep an eye on it.

How many times are you going to remind us about your 1-2?:lol:

I got the wet weather thing down to a science I think. Yesterday was the first time I actually experimented with the WW Tool. If you recall, the one and only race I won last season was in a friggin monsoon!

Clearing temps doesn't affect my games (running on latest IE version)

Me and Jo took 1-2 last season.

I have the same problem. It's very annoying, and I'm using FireFox. Sometimes it just times out, sometimes the server response is really slow :wonder:

I remember that well. Read about it in the paper all year long  :p

I was doing fine without the Kool Tools also. I only got it to get into more than 1 game at a time. It always gives me setting that are waaaaaaaaaaaay off from my test results. I could be doing it wrong though.

Read the engineers advice at the start of new race. KT doesn't do your setupwork, you still have to do it by yourself :)

So what is Kool Tools for then. Like I said I use it to be able to get into more than one game. I use the Engineers advice to get my tire strategy down for sure. I have a teamie that gives me a range to work with, but that doesn't help in A1GP and CHAMP for sure. Also, is there a way to set what tires go on the car when? I want to be able to tell the crew when to use softs vs. hards etc. I got a crazy pit strategy going for my CHAMP? race. I'm pitting on lap 90 of 105. I'd obviously like to go with softs in that stint.

What goodies KT provides:

-Can store setups. Basically you can store yoself "all 50" setup what you can use all season long, easy to start with.
-Wet weather tool
-More game slots
-Upload own helmet livery
-Easier way to post setups to team talk

That's basically what you get.

Tyre strategies are bit harder, you can do your 1st stint with different tyres than your others by selecting different tyres for start than the rest of the race, but you can not do hard-soft-hard.
So its either soft-hard-hard or hard-soft-soft.

It just did it again overnight:mad:

In Ryan and I's Champ game. 50 laps at Road America. I had set a 2 stop. And this morning it has me doing 4 stops in a 50 lapper? On wets?!

Haven't really had any problems with the setup or race strategy stuff recently, but I hav noticed a few strange occurances recently like when I was taken out by a guy in 26th when I was in 14th!!

I'm using Safari as I'm a liberal, Guardian-reading (To the non-Brits, It's a liberal newspaper ;) ), Apple iBook owning weirdo... :D

One thing to bear in mind though for the quali screen. I have noticed that in series that have different types of quali for different races (eg BTCC, Champ Car) it resets the quali run that it brings back in...in other words in BTCC, for the feature race one slider set will be set to 50 and the other to the sprint race setting... :wonder:
