I figured I would post up some pics of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I was down there touring it this Summer. (not like I havent been there before:D) As I said, Im only about an hour from the track.
Pic 1.. The famous Pagoda at the Indy Track
Pic 2.. Me on the straightaway at pit lane near the tower
Pic 3.. Me inside the media room where all the special announcements are made and where the winner have the press conference. The Indy 500 winners always sit in the middle, so I natrually sat in the winner's seat. I advised the people in the room that Danica will be sitting here in 2008.
Pic 4... Me kissing the infamous bricks at the start/finish line

"So what was it like wining here at Indy?"
"Oh it was great! I mean sure there weren't any other cars, and I WAS on foot, but hey, a win's a win!"
Hehehe:lol:

Good one....
Yeah, its so awesome to be at that track. You can just feel an aura when you walk in that place.
Oh, and believe me, I got ribbed big time when I said Danica will be sitting here next year. They all thought I was crazy but most of them were NASCAR fans anyways.

Here is an awesome video describing the Indy 500. It was aired before the Indy 500 in 2005...Pretty cool.

Here is an exciting clip to the finish of the 2006 Indy 500. I remember it so well. Man, I am missing IndyCars something fierce.:(

Your enjoyment level of IRL is really surprising. Because IMO the IRL, and Champ Car, for that matter are a shadow of what they used to be. Before the split in 1995.
Emmo, Mansell, Unser Jr, Michael and Mario Andretti, Danny Sullivan. There was so much diversity in the series, with Penske, Lola, and Reynard chassis which could be mated with one of several engines including Honda, Merceds (Ilmor), or Ford. And a tire war between Goodyear and Firestone to boot.

Yeah, I just really enjoy watching the cars. I love the sights, sounds of the cars. And after getting down in the garage/pit areas for awhile now and talking with drivers(especially Danica:)) and teams, just gets me more excited. Very approachable people.
It makes me appreciate the races and series more.

This was the best finish, I thought Marco had it geez if he would have blocked it'd been a disaster but I wanted him to get it so bad. This sophmore slump of his stinks.:stop:

But what I have with Indy and those drivers is something I don't plan on losing. I am Indy
