I figured we could write some series review for anyone trying to decide which game to get into. I know I wanted to try all of them, but now that I have (minus F12006) I have some preferences.
I'll rate on a 5 star system. Please post your reviews.

A1GP - :star::star::star: (up from 2)
---Hard series due to lack of teammate. This series is not for the faint of heart. It can be frustration for sure. I'm on the fence. May play again

Champ Car - :star::star::star: (up from 2)
---Also hard if you play solo. This series allows for teams of 3 which I highly recommend. I had poor results but others (teams) have had better luck. I will probably play this again in a team sometime. (I've had a chance to play again with 2 teamies. I'll stick with my 1st review.)

Bat Seven - :star:
---I utterly hate this series. Lack of quali. is supposed to enhance the racing. In my opinion it allows you to get locked into a bad position to start that you can't seem to get out of. Again, luck based more than setup. Also will never play again. HATE IT!!

BTCC - :star::star::star:
---I like this series but not my fav. I joined 2 of these mid-season. One game had good results and we (Salty and I) were able to take a piss poor team and finish 3-4 in the drivers and 2nd in teams over the course of the series. This game is better for setup and strategy than some of the others above. There are 2 different divisions in the game. May play again eventually.

V8 Supercars - :star::star::star:.5
---I really like this series. It is a bit of a long series. The good part is that most track have 2-3 races. Once you get your car setup locked in for the 1st race you can let it run the others with minimal tweaks. (not counting weather) You also score points no matter where you finish, as long as you finish. This allows you to recover from a bad race or 2. You can go from 5th to 1st to 7th and all over the place. This is also nice because you always have a chance to catch up to the leaders. Taking a break here. Good Mid-Season game though.

LeMans Enduro Series - :star::star::star::star::star:
---This is maybe my favorite. These are long races. Most races show tire use in % ratings rather than lap rating (ie. x tire should last 10% of the race instead of x tire should last half the race) This also results in a sense that you don't get enough stops or tires to do a whole race. You'll have to trust in your tires. Salty and I have won quite a few races here so far in the LMP1 category and I have a Championship here. This series has several divisions. (LMP1, LMP2, GTS and GT) You also select 3 driver characteristics which you will set as a "Co-Driver" This is different from other series because you set you pit strategy as well as which driver char. you want to use in that stint. Much more strategy involved here and that's why I like it. Will play again when avail.:thumbsup:

F1 1986 - :star::star::star::star:
---Great series. Got my 1st win here. This series has close competition and you have to factor in reliability. There is also a clear difference in tire choice so you have to get your strategy and setup on. The points system is accurate to the year so it can be a challenge to score. I would recommend this series if you have a little experience. Will play again.

F1 2002 - :star::star::star::star:
---I like this series too. Very similar to the description of the 1986 series minus the reliability problems. I have, however, crashed a few more times. If you get your setup right and plan the race well you can win in any car. This series is also a bit harder to score in (compared to F1 2007) I also would say to try this one, maybe before you go to the 1986 series. May play again.

F1 2006 - :star::star::star::star:.5
---My favorite of the F1's. Seemed to be very stable and I had a great run in the Renault. Highly recommended.

F1 2007 - :star::star::star::star:
---One of my fav's. Grab a teammate and go. You'll need to get your setup right on and set your strategy. This is a close series (unless Fernando is playing :lol:). I've done well in this series in a BMW in my 2 series runs. Reliability is not too bad a problem and I made far less errors. This is a great series to start and stay in. I will be playing more of these as well. Will play again

F1 2008 - :star::star::star::star:
---Pretty much on par with the 2007 carset. No major differences in feel but a new style of quali. I like the new quali. but it's not a deal breaker. Will play again

f1 2007: :star::star::star::star:
This is the carset I play the most. Sometimes in public games it's irritating when your teamie isn't playing the game right. I've tried few academy games as instructor and have to say that they are very fun! You can win with any car. In pro level there is only 3 teams to win the championship in skilled game, but sometimes strange things happen.

f1 2006: :confused:
almost as same as 07, not so much experience here.

f1 2002: :star::star::star::star:.5
I've Played 1 full season so far but I have to say I will definitely play this carset more. Scored 2 wins with Sauber and very inactive teamie. Only 6 top positions give you points. More tyresets and more laps in practice sessions makes going for full spot easier. Special Monsoon wet tyres so there is 4 sliders, makes things little tough some times.

f1 1986: :star::star::star::star:.5
Lots of competitive cars in the grid and high failure rates make the races interesting, superb carset! Setuping car is fairly easy but strategy is harder than in 07's. If you hit bad luck streak then it will be very frustating. Great atmosphere, beautiful cars, love it! :D

champ car: :star::star:
The amount of safetycars make the results kinda lottery. Raced few seasons in a team or solo, definitely you need a teamie to win a title here. I don't get much kicks about this carset.

lmes: :star::star::star:.5
Long races, lot's of cars, lot's overtaking. Pick your charasteristics wisely. Kinda like this carset but not mad about it. Noticed that you can lack the pace all over the season even with perfect setups and such. Could be fun as private game. ;)

bat seven: :sick:
Hated it. Ugly cars too. Quitted after 2 races. YUCK!

a1gp: :star::star::star::star:
First hated this too but now when playing again it's sweet. You don't stress about awol teamie and about half of the field in every race is competitive. Maybe it was that I didn't have any knowledge how the series is ran in real life, but after learning how to play the game it doesn't matter that much. Recommended for more experienced players in my opinion.

btcc: :star::star:
Not too bad, the carset just doesn't give me any kicks. Not sure if I'm going to try again.

v8 supercars: :star::star::star:
So far I'm not a fan of v8's. Ridiculous amount of mechanical problems. People race with high sliders and cause collisions what leads to a safetycar, safetycar leads to suffering (yodamode) :lol:. Race results imo are too random and when everyone just collects points it doesn't make sense to me. Few good points to spot out like even cars and lot's of racing.

There are rumours that the next carset Jules will put into game is Toyota MR2....wtf is this? Also there are plans for gp2, nascar, motogp, dtm and f1 1967. Personally I'd like motogp set, that would be very cool but I think there is some pressure to create nascar carset for american markets.

F1 2006 was awesome.

Much better than the current F1 2007. Any car could win, Honda, McLaren, Williams, Toyota, Super Aguri. You didn't need a Ferrari, BMW, or McLaren to win the title.

That said 2 good players in a Renault could walk away. Fernando Waldren and I teamed up in a Renault midseason. From the point I joined in Canada I never qualified lower than 4th, and never finished off the podium. As a team we had had more than twice the points of the next closest team.

Also I think it's kind of stupid to say you won't run a series again just because it didn't go well the first time. The first time I ran F1 2002 I had 1 point all season, and it was at Spa late in the season that I got it. I hated that season and didn't want to do 2002 again. Since then I've done 2002 twice, once private the other public.

I won the title in both series.

Just because you do poorly once doesn't mean it will be bad every time. I know a guy who only does BAT 7's. He has all 4 slots filled each of them with BAT 7's game. He loves it, and he's good at it. The key to enjoying a game in BATracer is not to find the series that you're instantly good at but to work with the sliders in something you're not sure about and finding the speed.

So I say if you don't like a series keep at it. Eventually you will figure it out. We all have bad seasons if you stop playing a set because you have a bad season you're just trying to blame the set and the game for your in ability to find the speed.

Also I think it's kind of stupid to say you won't run a series again just because it didn't go well the first time.

Didn't say it wasn't going well, I just hate this carset and I'm not to big on the style. No pit, not tire changes, no quali. It takes away from the setting up part. I'm a technical guy. Besides, you can't recover from a bad spot on the grid in a 13 lap race.

Maybe :star::star:

Stupid me just keeps comin' back for more though:rolleyes::lol:

* Actually, so far, I like the LMES the best I think. Good point structure, very challenging. Good racing all round. F1'02 is pretty good also. And all I've driven so far is a Jordan in that series.

The only ones I haven't tried are the '06 F1 and Bat7.

Updated my reviews. I have to say that my top 3 are:

LMES
F12006
F12007

in that order.
