Energy Drinks

Since I work 3rd shift, I have been drinking a lot of energy drinks lately. I think Im getting addicted...:lol::o

My favorites are Monster and NOS. Jeff Gordon's energy drink tastes real good but I didnt get a kick from it.

Anyone else hooked on these things ?

I used to drink them. I liked the "Lost" and "Von Dutch" myself. They start to loose effect and the caffine is bad for your kidneys. The caffine will eventually cause stones. I'd watch it if I were you.

Red Bull and Vodka is the closest I get to energy drinks nowadays. It never lets you down. :lol:

(Well, until you drink too many and your heart explodes, or something.)

During my student days I did drink plenty of Red Bull when I realised exams were the next day and it was time to see what I was supposed to have learnt in the past months. ;)

Ya, I can't stand it either. I've tried a bunch of flavors and none of them have been any good to me. They also let you crash once the caffine wears off. You'd be better off with some Mountain Dew and more rest. :lol::lol:

Used to work the midnight shift at a gas station.

Over the 8 hours I would drink 2 Gatorade's and a Monster energy drink. I calculated that I consumed about 1kg of sugar in just over a week. Just based on those three drinks, not on anything else I ate or drank.

I liked Monster the best. Red Bull wasn't bad taste wise, but it was the same price as Monster but 1/3 the size.

Not that I'd know of course...

No energy drinks for me. 3 cups o coffee in the morning and that's plenty. I tried Full Throttle a couple of times, and my heart felt like it was gonna jump outta my chest. Then the crash was worse than had I not had the sugary drink in the first place.

I've tried Red Bull and Powerhorse. I guess they get the job done, but it's not something I'd drink with a meal, or while watching TV. Look at it from the 'extreme situations require extreme measures' perspective :lol:

Sorry to bring this dead thread back up, but I feel it is relevant.

I have a 10 page paper due tomorrow that I haven't started writing, though I have most of the research done. Being that it looks like I've got an all nighter ahead of me I went out and bought a 12 pack of Full Throttle: Blue Demon.

That should get me through the night. WAAAAAHOOOO!!!!!!:eek:

Thats actually one energy drink I havent had yet. In my opinion, you should of gotten NOS. It is the best to me.:)

Full Throttle is the bomb!! :D IT'S THE BEST!:lol:

Either Regular or Fruit Punch. It's the only thing I can drink faster than beer..

The 5 hour energy drink is pretty good. It tastes like *** but it works. THe good thing about these is no sugar and not much caffeine. 2oz. compared to 16-24 in the monster type drinks too.

I really like the Grape and Fruit Punch flavors of NOS they have now.
