I wasnt sure where to put this thread but I thought this would be the best place. I thought it would be neat to have a thread with pictures of race tracks from all around. I will definitely include all IRL and Nascar tracks. I dont know about other tracks that other motorsports race on so please post those or ones that I may forget.
I will start off with the KING of all tracks where the best drivers race.....

Maybe the Queen or Duke or something. I think the King title HAS to go to the Nurburgring in Germany. At 28.265 km (~17.5 miles) long, it has to be the longest and one of the most well known.

Wow, thats a long track. Yeah, but you have to admit, the Indy 500 is the most prestiguous of all races to win. They dont call it The Greatest Spectacle In Racing for nothing...:D

Perhaps for the people who go in circles. I'd say that winning the Monaco Grand Prix or the Le Mans 24 hours is up there when it comes to prestige. ;)

After all these huge circuits I'm bring you down to Earth a bit with my favourite Swedish track Falkenberg. It's like the Monza of Sweden.
A few years ago they added a chicane after the start finish straight, before that it was a pretty much flat out track. :D
This track is awesome for close touring car action.

I'm with you on this one. There are lots of 500 mile oval races, but the 24 Hours of Le Mans seems like one of the last great tests of motor racing. There's really nothing else on the scale of it. There's the 24 hours of Daytona, but in the last 15 years it has fallen off the grand stage.
All in all the race I look forward to most each year is the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Very legendary "track" on the streets of Isle of Man, first raced at 1904. The mountain circuit is 38 miles long and it's without doubt the greatest challenge any racing motorcyclist can take on.

It is and the Indy 500 is the one victory every race car driver wants in thier resume.
Have you ever been at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway ?
Im telling you there is an aura about that place. You can feel it when you are driving next to it and not even inside yet. Its an incredible feeling. I love walking and talking with the drivers down in the garage/paddock area. Nothing like it!!!

After Driverdb posted the "Monza of Sweden" here, I therefore present you the "Suzuka of Finland"
It's called "Ahvenisto" race track, founded in 1967, has length of 3 kilometres and the unofficial track record is made by former F1 champion Keke Rosberg with his Williams F1 at 1984.

That track bears a striking resemblance to Suzuka as well.
This is possibly the most famous Canadian track, after Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. It's located about an hour and a half north-east of Toronto. It hosted 8 Grand Prix's in the 60's and 70's.
Many compared it to a mini-Nurburgring. It was undulating, very fast, and extremely difficult. It faded from the world stage, although it has remained large in sports car racing, in the late 70's due to it also being extremely dangerous, Manfred Winkelhock was killed here in 1985.

I tried but the Google sat images are pretty useless in Scandinavia (+ Finland for the Scandinavia purists). They just don't zoom in close enough. They are probably only clear on our military buildings. ;)

Yes, the track was very good, well still is good, but it was much better , the track changed in 1990 for F1, for questions of security, and who helped to make the changes was Ayrton Senna himself
