Bräck Gets TV Show

The Indy 500 winner and 1998 IRL champion is getting his own TV show on Swedish television. It's called "Bräck och vänner" (Bräck and friends) and will be a sort of laid back interview show. The first episode has been recorded and features David Letterman.

Will be a distraction from his music career, I hope. :lol:

Kenny is quite a character so I guess it will be a fun program.

He's still involved in racing though and is currently managing the young Swede Marcus Ericsson who caused quite a stir when he won the UK Formula BMW championship in his first season out of karts. He seems very interesting a guy. It's good to see him around and well again. Every time I hear about him I remember his horrific accident, I think we had a thread on that before :(.

Well, he is one of the few drivers who walked away from an F1 contract. :mad: :eek:

After being robbed of his Formula 3000 title (he got disqualified at the last race for dangerous driving when he let Jörg Müller drive a bit on the grass) he signed a test contract with TWR who was in the process of buying Ligier. But then the French refused to sell the company out of the country so instead TWR bought Footwork Arrows. That way Bräck's testing contract got transferred to Arrows instead, which he wasn't happy with as their car wasn't as competitive as the Ligier. After one day of testing Kenny confirmed that the car was crap and tore up his contract. Instead he went to IRL where he would be in with a shot of winning instead of running at the back. I think the whole of Sweden would much rather have had him running at the back of F1 though, but he had made up his mind when racing crappy cars in Britain in the late 80's that he would never again race a car that he had absolutely no chance of winning in.

Nice to hear about him. He did a video at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway about Foyt. A.J. Foyt just loves Kenny:o
