Thank you very much guys for the support.
Today my team mate qualified 2nd and I am 10th
I am having problems with the fuel system, hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow.
We will have two races tomorrow. For the second race starting grid, they will reverse the the positions of the top seven finishers of the first race.

Fahad, really wish you the best of luck for tomorrow :D. Starting from 10th won't be a problem, you've handled much more than that in our current V8 Challenge

I was able to jump to 4th position before the first turn :D
Finished 7th, my team mate 1st :finishfirst:
For the second race I was on pole, our strategy to help my team mate take the lead. He was able to jump from 7th to take the lead from the first turn and I became 5th just after the first turn , He retired on the last turn of the race due to a tire puncher, and I finished 6th.
This is my first race in this type of cars, and I was taking it very easy to learn the car. Next race on 6th-7th of December.
For the FTA series, my team mate ran into me and broke my radiator which led to engine failure. DNF in the first race and DNS in the second
He finished 4th and 3rd.
The weekend was great overall in term of media and PR, except for the results.
Thank you :)

Ah man that sucks:( Sorry to hear about your retirements. Better luck next time, so they say:thumbsup: A collision with your team mate is never a good thing.
Is there any coverage of the race that we can see somewhere?

Finished 7th, my team mate 1st :finishfirst:
Why is your team mate consistently faster than you are? Does he have more experience in the series or with the car?
Let me ask you also how the car felt like to drive. Do you have a lot of understeer or oversteer? Can you really push when you're driving? How difficult was it to find the right setup?
Sorry Fahad, but we're all big fans here and since you experienced it first hand I'd love to hear more :D

There are many reason why he should be good in this season:
1- It's his second season, where he finished 2nd overall last time. He only lost the title because of mechanical problems.
2- He was trained by Paul Morris in Australia (check his stats at Driverdb.com)
3- He drives like there is no tomorrow
Check this photo http://www.luminacsv-me.com/images/prodimg/1b(1).jpg (http://www.luminacsv-me.com/images/prodimg/1b%281%29.jpg)
He squeezes his car when ever there is a chance or no chance.
I think I am able to improve much better than the current performance with no help, but with the help of a full time coach and datalogging equipments, both of us won't have any trouble leading the championship.
Regarding the car, it has so much body roll that it feels like a boat.
It needs much stiffer suspension.
It tends to understeer with no power, but with just a little power it will oversteer.
The suspension of the car is not adjustable.
The car acceleration from 0 to 200 KM/H is similar to the new BMW M5.
We have some old videos of inside car camera, if you would like to see how it's driven.
I will get the full videos of this race soon.
Can't wait for the next race to get better results, I am not happy with 6th & 7th.
Thanks,

That too is a great pic. Talk about cramped quarters:eek:
I'd love to see the onboard shots too. I'm really excited to see how you do fare this season:finishfirst:
How similar are the cars as far as suspension goes? Is everyone driving a boat? *Nevermind:lol: Upon closer inspection, it seems you all have the same car/boat:lol: DUH!:lol:

The only thing we can adjust is the rear wing, I am not sure how much it would effect the top speed/handling.
We are rebuilding our website with many videos and photos.
For the fans we have hero cards signed by myself :D
Also I am thinking to offer my old suit signed by myself to charity to sell it on ebay, how much could they get?? $20,000

This is for Fahad. He's in the race and if I'm not mistaken they mention him on the commentary. If you end up on youtube subscribe to his channel!!

Thanks EIR for the find
Fahad, you're right about the lack of competitive series in the Middle East. I have a few friends there and they tell me that the opportunities for racing are really limited.
I don't know how long the Lumina CSV has been around, but it's definitely great for emerging talent like yourself ;)

Thanks a lot for posting the video, this time I am interviewed :D
DNF in the first race, starting from 15th in the second race and finishing 6th.
My team mate won both races, but was penalized in one and got 2nd place.
This is the second season for the Lumina CSV and it's the highest class in the Middle East. I really like this series, but we don't get to test the cars.
In racing you don't learn the basics during competitions, you need full day testing with coaches and dataloggers, to set the basic skills and understanding of the race.
Which I didn't get the opportunity to do since I started racing. I am improving a little by little from race to race that won't get a huge progress in a season. But in summer I am planning for intensive testing and training in Europe on various type of racing and cars to get ready for 2009 season and win a championship in the Middle East.
I am planning to train on Toyota MR2, Honda Civic Type R, Formula Ford, Formula Renault and NASCAR.
Wish me luck in the coming races, I have to finish some races on the podium to secure sponsorships.
Thanks,
EIR Loe.307

If you run NASCAR that's the ONLY way I'll be a fan. (of NASCAR I mean).
Would be cool for you to go into the Formula Renaults though.
