Mika Hakkinen has decided to retire from racing in the DTM series. I'm a bit disappointed that he did not add another season, but I understand his decision given the controversies that happened throughout the year :(

Hakkinen says he will continue his relationship with Mercedes and that an announcement will be made soon about his future plans. I have a hard time imagining him outside a race car. But I doubt he will join another series. Maybe he will take on a management role of sorts.

Or maybe he will open a bar with ex-rival Shuey near Lake Geneva

He will continue as a PR person for Mercedes. I don't see Mika continuing his racing career anymore.

Hi,

how old is Mika? He started his F1 career in 1991, like Schumacher, but don't know who is the oldest one.
