I was told that early this morning (Tuesday) that it was possible to see the International Space Station and the space shuttle orbiting from the sky. Around 6:15-6:20am today, I did see it. It was awesome. You could see 2 bright lights moving across the sky. The first light was brighter, it was the space station, and the second light was the space shuttle. It was amazing looking at it and realizing what I was seeing.

If there are no clouds in the sky, you should be able to see it again tomorrow I believe. Im not sure about seeing both of them but I know at least one should be visible.

Did anyone else see this ???

I still haven't gotten my hands on the free telescope I have avail. I've been looking at a meade telescope but it's $150-$175. I may look at it when I go back to school.

Yeah, I wouldnt mind having a nice telescope. But what was cool with this is how you could see it with no telescope.

I didn't realize you meant without one. WOW that is pretty sweet. Do you know what constellation it's near? Actually I don't know if it would show up the same from where you are to where I am. I may have to get on NASA.gov and see what I can find.

I believe early this morning(wednesday) is it for awhile to be able to see them. Its going to be cloudy here so I probably wont see it again..:(

It was wild watching them just move across the sky.

The shuttle is coming in tomorrow I believe so the two might not be together. A telescope would probably be useless as they move so fast across the sky. I see satellites cruise by all the time, they're movin'!

Spotting satellites is one of my favourite fun! Usually when I'm spotting those I'm pretty drunk tho'. Also it's not very healthy to lie in the freezing snow and that's why you need something to warm you up. In the summertime the sky is not so black here in the arctic circle so it's more or less winter sport. ;)

That's an unfortunate side effect of living near a majorly developed area. Too many ground lights. The area where my house is located is better than in other areas but there are BP plant lights in the distance. :(
