Hi,

Michael Schumacher will test the Ferrari F2007 in Barcelona on next tuesday.

"Michael has a big experience in driving cars with no traction control and no electronic aids, so it makes sense for him to give his input," said Schumacher's spokeswoman.

Remember next year TC will be prohibited.

Todt said that if Michael had the desire to drive the car, he would be happy to fulfill it.

Bye

He sure will be a HUGE help in testing the car with no TC. It remains to be seen if he continues testing with more sessions than this one. I believe that some of the drivers will struggle because you just can't use the gas pedal like an on/off switch anymore.

Yes,

I hope this will be the first test of many.

What would happen if Michael sets the fastest time during the two days of testing? (I think he will be at the Circuit de Catalunya on tuesday and wednesday)

He said he will never return to race... but I cannot wait to see the comparison to the younger stars, when the driving skills will do the job the TC has done during recent years.

Go for it Michael! Go for it Ferrari!

Bye

Hi, (body) Bye

You know you don't have to say hi and bye every post.

I hope that they don't soley rely on MS for the data though. Kimi and Massa are going to be the ones in the races so they better be practicing all they can. Everyone, (minus DC and a few others) will be new to F1 without TC. Remember though, that all these guys came from somwhere and didn't always have TC in those days. Should be some great driving to come.

OK, I'll try not to write Hi and Bye on every post (I think it's because I'm used to start and end with some greetings whenever I write something, for example e-mails). ;)

Keep an eye on Kimi, because I've read he's really good at driving with no TC... ok, all top pilots are good at anything that burns fuel :p, but I hope next season will be a "more real" F1, and hope it will show who is really good at it. My bet is Kimi :finishfirst:

I hope so. I've seen Hamilton do some really nice sliding around the track. I don't know if that's good or bad. He really seems to have some car control though (most of the time). Should be a really good Hamilton/Kimi battle.

You know, for a 'retired' guy, Schumi sure seems to keep himself busy:lol: I guess that's what happens when you're retired at 38:wonder:

The GP2 boys (Hamilton, Rosberg, Nakajima, Piquet, Kovalainen) all have recent experience of driving high powered cars with no traction control.

Bourdais will probably be a little more used to it as well.

But then again I doubt anyone at this level will have any big problems adjusting.
