Custom BATracer Liveries and Helmets

I downloaded a free photoshop alternative called Gimp. Playing around with it right now but here's an attempt at a livery. Mostly just seeing how things work. I never learned anything about photoshop so it's all new to me. Got more to go on it till I'll like it.

Not sure what's up with the templates. They keep uploading as jpgs. They should work but not as well and you still have to convert back to gif.

Latest Bently. Still trying to see if it's what I'm after. Here's both the "still room to work" version and a finished(?) version. The Champ car livery looks good once the shading is done by BATracer so I'd like to stick to the black/red/white look. There's a big square dead spot that prevents me from some of the look I'd like on the Bentley template. (Right in the "W" on WRF, the grey box)

Looks good, but there are members from more countries or are the flags for the actual racers :wonder:

I tried to get flags from a variety of forum members. I may have to redo it though becasue once rendered the flags are very small. I wanted a good selection from the WRF community but if I have to go larger I'll have to select a small # like 4-5. (Mostly from my buddy list :lol:)

That won't come out well when you try and use it. For black you're better off using a dark gray.

The shading mechanism used the game after it is uploaded does not work for straight black.

I snagged the main header a while back and I just crop and scale it to fit. Each template is different. The Bentley template is much larger than the Pescalero for example.

I'd love to have transparent logos and also texts :thumbsup:(I don't have that font). BTW that MR2 carset looks very promising, just joined a private game.

I think the "shader" for front fender (that mr2) is way too harsh, it turns black in EIR's livery to light gray, and yesterday I made one which supposes to have dark red fender but it shades to pink. :sick:

The Yellow images from the templates are in "indexed" mode so when you go to paint red it comes out like a brown. It may depend on your editor. I know when I open the templates in Gimp I have to switch to RGB mode. (This may not have anything to do with what you were talking about though :lol:)

Hey! Did you finally get the lid?

This URL used to work. It didn't for me today, but it's where I got my helmet. Maybe give it time. If I recall correctly, someone will do it up for you:thumbsup:

It's been a while, so I may be WAY off:whistling: Ben Allen did the helmet I have, which is a replica like the one you want. I tried to find him on BR, but here are about a thousand Ben Allen's. Most of which have their accounts locked:lol:
