Prodrive will not participate the 2008 season

FIA has declined Prodrive's application to start the season at it's midpoint. The rules of F1 say that all teams have to be on the series from the 1st race of the season, so it's unlikely that Prodrive will make it.

It's pretty obvious that they're not going to be title condenders, why not just let them in for the benefit of development of the team. That does seem fair though (the decision). For continuity/organisation sake of the series.

I never embraced the idea of customer chassis in the first place, so I'm not disappointed that the FIA rejected ProDrive's (probably first of many) application :rolleyes:
