As Force India bought Spyker and is most likely to have better financial status now, is their performance going to boost up? Their technical director is Mike Gascoyne who has a reputation of one of the most skilled person when it comes to developing the car. After he joined Spyker, at somewhere in the middle of the season they were able to catch up the top teams in the laptimes for about 1 second, but still were at the back of the grid.

According to the german media, veteran drivers Ralf Schumacher and Giancarlo Fisichella are going to test Force India in December at Jerez. Next week the testing sessios are scheduled for Adrian Sutil, Roldan Rodriguez, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Christian Klien ja Giedo van der Garde.

They could be good mid-rear contenders next year. If they get the right drivers in there they could make some good improvements. Should be exciting to watch. I can't wait for the new season to start with the new rules. :D

Yes, after the B spec. was issued, Spyker, specially Adrian Sutil managed to achieve great races and results, for example in Spa and Fuji...

It's not that easy to be successful in Formula 1. Even if you have the best engineers and the best drivers. You need to develop a corporate culture, work dynamics and much more

A fancy name but I don't see them as a force for some time to come.

Its a new team and will take time to deliver results..will be gr8 if they finished in top 10 atleast once.

Force India is expected to reveal its full driver lineup for 2008 in Monaco early next month.

Adrian Sutil is under contract to the former Spyker team for 2008, but the rookie German is also linked with a switch to replace Fernando Alonso at McLaren.

The second seat, meanwhile, is hotly contested, with established names including Ralf Schumacher, Giancarlo Fisichella, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Christian Klien among those vying to race for the Silverstone-based team.

What if feel If Sutil is still under contract then they will try to sell it to mclaren.. :D

Ralf has good relationship with Vijay Mallaya, he came earlier this year in india to promote Kingfisher/Toyota brand.

But mallaya has already told that he will select drivers on merit. I dont know what amount of money he is pouring in F1 team. If he is not investing more money he can choose driver who brings more sponsership money..

There is also rumours that if FI. signs Ralf, then Gasgoyne is going to leave because he hates him.

Hmm, I didnt know gasgoyne and Ralf had bad feelings. What's the history here?

When Gascoyne was sacked from Toyota at 2006 he felt that Ralf was one of the key members resulting that to happen. They also worked together at Jordan in 1998.

Well i think Sutil + Liuzzi as drivers and Albers + rodriguez as test drivers for Force India team

Also there are rumors that Fisichella is also eyeing a seat in Force India since bariatore declared renault will be having new drivers for 2008 season

Looks like Ralf and Fisico will be testing the Force India car a Jerez coming up. They had been a team back in the Jordan days so who knows. It seems that one or both should make it to that team.

If Ralf manages to get a new F1 seat then there's no hope left for the world! :(

I couldn't agree more. F1 teams hire based on performance. Ralf was unable to deliver for the past few years and that is why I doubt even Force India will hire him. Unless he drives for free

Both Ralf and Fisi dont deserve a seat. Liuzzi has good chance IMO.

Fisichella in Force India team, he can help to develop the car, and Sutil is a great driver, i think we can see Spyker scorring some points this year

i dont think they will be able to score a point this year... may be they will finish in top 12 in one or two race. Mallaya revealed budget for ForceIndia is 120 Million USD which was around 65-70 mil last year for spyker. They are roping in Shah rukh khan as their brand ambassador in india so i guess they will be able to generate more interest in india, If rumors to be believed SRK has not charged a single rupee for this ad.

Here is couple pictures more. It's not that bad looking in my opinion. The colour scheme reminds me of a beer can, and beer always is lovely!
Atleast I think it's better this way than the red-white livery what they used at tests.

Haha , maybe it is!

Seriously though, their livery isn't bad. I would give it an above average. What strikes me more is Fisichella, who really should have retired. When you see him it makes you wonder how he got onto the slippery slope. Let's be frank, is he going to lead Force India to their first WDC in the next five years?

Maybe not, but after being a Renault driver for few past years and being know as one of the fastest 1 lap man, I think he is going to be a valuable choise for this team.......retirement? Hopefully atleast in 2010. ;)

LOL, some of the best posts above. Well, reacting to the guy who said 'they need better drivers', I would say that at this point Fisichella and Sutil are pretty good drivers for them, they bring speed and consistency. If the car gets better, they might be able to lure even faster drivers.
