Tickets for next year's Indy Race will go on sale starting today. I think it's great they decided to race there in 2008
The track will make for an amazing race, but I wonder whether they will modify the track of use the same layout that was used in Formula 1 races.

That's exactly why I was wondering whether they would change the layout...

So their going anti-clockwise! I guess that's reduces the risk a little bit :wonder:

This layout is the exact layout the use in F1 so there's not much to finish :wonder:. They are just going to run in the opposite direction.
Nope, not this year. But I hope that someday I will be able to attend a MotoGP race :)

Im not into motorcycle racing but its nice to see races being brought to Indy. Always good for the track and the local area.

I've watched the AMA race here. They don't use much of the bank, although it's almost unavoidable. It's not the most attractive track for a grand specticle like MotoGP IMO. Like racing in a big abandoned warehouse:rolleyes: It's good for the fans I suppose, and bringing it to a new audience. It would be the last place I'd want to watch the Premier class work their magic myself though:wonder: It aint no Monza, that's for sure;)

I see they aren't using nearly as much of that banked corner. Probably alot safer. Should be interesting to watch.
Ya Jo, what's a flight from where you are to Indy gonna cost. $1-2m

Yea, that's a fair estimate. You're the host though since your American so I don't have to worry about the bill, or using my air miles  :p

Not sure but it seems that they sell as low as 30€...With around 300€ you get ticket for whole weekend including free entry pass, vip tents etc etc, so not bad.

What would be cool is if you guys really plan on coming up to Indy sometime for the MotoGP race, we could all meet up since Im so close. Be cool to meet some of you in person. I have had a couple meetings with a few guys I know from another forum and its a lot of fun.

Heh not a bad idea. But when flying tickets to States cost over 1000€ and tickets to Europe around 100€ I think with my current lifestyle I'll stick with European races ;)
