First of all i hope that my post is in the right place. I am Luigi Voulgarelis student of economics in the Venice University. I have decided to make my thesis on a plan that assumes the construction of a circuit in Athens, Greece (the city i was born). Having to create a business plan of this project, it has emerged that it would be useful to study an eventual relation between supply (the creation of new tracks) and demand ( sport licences and amateurs that attend the circuits) in the main European countries through the years. The analysis of these data would help me to understand if the supply creates new demand (new circuits = more passionate and frequent visitors). Unfortunately my surveys were not successful because I didn’t find any important statistics to study. Eventually would you have any suggestion to give me concidering your experience in the field? Which ever your indication, it will be extremely useful. sorry for my english...

Hello Luigi. I moved your thread here since it suits the 'lounge' better than our F1 sector. ;) First of all, as I assume you have already done, you should investigate how many racing tracks there are in Greece and countries nearby to check out the competition. To get the maximum profit out of your track, it should be able to held different kind of races, from F1 to karting so also facilities, parking areas, transportations, etc are in important role. We have few wrf-forum users who race for real so I think you can get some nice hints from this forum. Good luck with your studies! :)

Harakimi thank you very much for your reply!
The statistics that i would like to have are about the sport driving licences and the number of amateurs that attend the circuits in the european countries. the longest the perior of the statistics the better. I hope that i made my point clear ;). Thank you also for your ideas regarding the facilities that a modern circuit should satisfy.
