Given the popularity of the Nordschleife video's, I'll make this post as a tribute to what I believe to be the only track that rivals the Nordschleife in size, history, and difficulty.

The Isle of Man TT.
Run on closed public roads around the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea. It runs for 60.2kms (or 37.2 miles) and has well over 200 turns, and very long straights allowing the bikes to reach up to and over 320kmh.

Posting a video of the whole lap would produce a 20 minute+ video, so I'll give you one which gives a very good impression of the track. (I actually couldn't find a whole lap video.

HA! Look at that sweet old RC:D

The laundry list of horrible accidents and deaths blows the mind. I think I read somewhere a long time ago that there has been an average of at least one death on the course for every year it's been run. This (2007) was it's centennial year:wonder:

We've looked at going for a holiday, but it's unbelievably expensive. The hostels book up a good year in advance too.

This is allegedly Ron Haslam in an accident that took out 2 spectators as well. Amazingly he survived. Greats like Joey Dunlop weren't so lucky:wonder:
