The 2nd annual Speed Performer of the Year is coming up. There are drivers from all series being nominated. The top 6 will be on a television special in February. And one of the hosts will be Danica Patrick.;)

The winner will get the Mario Andretti trophy. The winner will be presented the trophy during the performance award show. The finalists who are up for the award are...

Donny Schatz - World of Outlaws Sprint Car
Jimmie Johnson- NASCAR
Jeff Gordon- NASCAR
Dario Franchitti - IRL
James Stewart - AMA Supercross
Sebastien Bourdais - Champ Car
Casey Stoner - MOTO GP
Lewis Hamilton - F1
Kimi Raikkonen - F1
Alex Gurney & Jon Fogarty - Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series
Jerry Coons, Jr. - USAC National Midget Series
Jon Stanbrough - USAC Sprint Car

Oh, and last year was the first year for this award and Jimmie Johnson won it.

Yeah, thats a tough line-up, I wouldnt want to make that call. I know Dave Despain of Wind Tunnel is one of the judges.

Yeah, thats a tough line-up, I wouldnt want to make that call. I know Dave Despain of Wind Tunnel is one of the judges.

I think each is worthy for sure. All but Hmailton are champion. Seabass won it 4 times straight which is a Champ Car record. Kimi got his first even with all the things that had to go JUST right so it was a miracle title win. Hamilton just came out and dominated which was a HUGE suprise to everyone. It's easy to make a case for them all that's for sure. I think it should be one of the ones on my list OR, and I hate to say it, JJ for his NASCAR title. Since he won it last year I doubt it will be him though. :p

Yea, I think Stoner has a very good chance of winning. He's the Hamilton of MotoGP who went the extra mile and won the title :wonder:

Yeah i think he has a great chance of winning. He wraped up the championship. Then went on to win his home event, then Malaysia and second in Valencia. He done a great job and won the champoionship in style:)
