Sebastien Loeb is going to do rallying for two more years with Citroen. According to him, the risks in the sport may get him to find new challenges from tracks in the future.

"Maybe one day I'll say that I'm bored to risk my life all the time. Leaving competiting could be very hard, because driving keeps my mind at balance. So why not to try something else?"

He has some experience from tracks, he raced 24h Le Mans in 2005 and 2006.

Makes perfect sense to me. He's been champion four times, what more can he get out of the sport? He'll have more fun in the DTM, but I guess he could do that after he finishes his contract with Citroen :)

DTM probably the best spot for him. Its a big risk to go to something bigger like F1.(Which he probably wont)
I dont get why he says "Im bored to risk my life all the time" every motorsport has a risk of life all the time.

I think WRC is one of the most dangerous motorsport out there. Just try to do 200kmh between the trees on gravel, stage after stage, year after year.:lol:

Loeb is shortly going to test Renault R27, and Heikki Kovalainen is going to test his Citroen C4 at Paul Ricard. But I'm sure Loeb is not aiming for F1.

Yeah it probably is but he is still going to be risking his life no matter what type of motorsport he is in.

im sure that it is one of the forms of motorsport with the the most adrenaline rush. what i am saying is that it will be difficult for him to replace these sensations. Plus it is extremley entertaining.
anyway i hope the best for him in whichever form of motorsports he decides to go to.

i doubt if he will ever consider f1, dtm is probably a good idea for him, we will just have to wait and see.

I really hope Loeb does not leave the WRC to move to another sport, he is the best there is at the moment, and he is amazing to watch, such a cool character. Would be a shame to see him leave.

Loeb is not a young boy anymore, he is born at 1974. He is not leaving wrc for atleast 2 years, but after that he should in my opinion to switch classes if he is going to be at the top. I believe he can be very competitive on track also. He was only 1 sec slower than Kovalainen in F1 car when they switched rides at Paul Ricard recently. Of course this was just fun testing but he really impressed team Renaults staff, as did Kovalainen for the Citroen folks ;)

1 second is a lot. Thats 1st to probably 10th or 15th.

It's not a lot considering he's never driven a Formula 1 car. In fact, I find it hard to believe, probably Kovalainen took it easy :wonder:

Yeah in that way but if he was racing he is still a back marker.

If you go off the track at a modern F1 circuit, you're likely to be caught by a nice soft tyre barrier, or concrete run off. If you go off the road in WRC, their is a good chance you are going down a 100 ft embankment! Both Loeb & Gronholm had some close calls this year that would make me consider a change in my career path!

Geez so your saying going of in and F1 car at 300kph is safe? Doesnt matter if there is tire barriers its still dangerous.
Yes you probably would have more chance of being killed in rally then F1 but all motorsport is dangerous. From Go-Karts to F1 to rally to Indy.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize I said it was safe, I just said there is less chance of running into a tree, or falling off a cliff at 200+kph,
