View Full Version : A Vehicle Noise Question?

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer 4x4 and for about a week now, I have been hearing a high pitch noise, similiar to a whistle coming from what seems to be from behind or around the dashboard. It seems to make the noise when Im accelerating and tonight it was louder than normal. It doesnt do it all the time but does it more frequent now. It only lasts a second or two and then stops.

All my gauges read fine. I have no clue on this one. Anyone have any ideas ?:confused:

Do you still have heat? If some or no, it may be the heater core.
Does the fan work? Might be a fan part that's worn.

Yeah, I have heat. I never thought of the fan. I will probably get it checked out this week.

Never did. I am getting my oil changed this week so I will ask then. I will let you know.
