Last Year for Oran Park

Next year will be the last year for the legendary Oran Park. It will be closed officially in 09 but the last V8 race will be 08. It is closing due to the western Sydney property boom.

Thats old news i know but i was just imforming everyone that the Finale will be held there next year.

Oran park has had an unbroken sequence of events since 1971.

Its such a shame. Oran Park hosts lots of events including: V8s, Go Karts, Truck racing, Drifting, Motrbikes and much more. :cry:

Shame. Oran is one of the two major figure 8 circuits (that I know of). The other being Suzuka.

Yeah and its an exciting track because of the bumps and how the track has hills etc. Last corner has lots of memorable moments too.

In case anybody doesn't know why it's closing it's because the land has been bought and is being turned into residential housing.

Becaus western Sydney is a property hot spot atm and the land owner wants to make millions.

This is a track I always enjoy watching. It' sad to see it go.:cry:
