I just saw this recently. I thought it was kind of odd or ironic since the Indianapolis Motor Speedway isnt having an F1 race there next year.....
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has won the FIA Formula One Promotional Trophy, presented to the best promoter and event organizer in Formula One each year. :finishfirst:
Indianapolis Motor Speedway CEO Tony George accepted the trophy during the season-ending FIA Gala awards ceremony Dec. 7 in Monaco. It's the second time in seven years IMS has won the award, also capturing the honor in 2000 after the inaugural United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis.
