Mallya described the upcoming decision as 'difficult' (note that great PR ), but will be made before the end of the year.

I honestly think that Christian Klien will make the race. He is quick, motivated and has quite some experience

Whichever one brings the most money.

Whichever one brings the most money.

That's exactly what Mallya doesn't want with this second driver.

I think is Fisico, he can help the team a lot

Someone told me that Roldán Rodríguez would take the new seat.

As I said before, Rodriguez is the kind of pay driver Mallya is not interested in (even though it is rumored that he would bring along 10 million bucks in sponsors ).

I'd say Fisichella. He might not be the fastest anymore but he would bring lot's of experience and knowledge to the team.

IMO fisichella... he might be useful in developing a car which is at the moment very nearly crap...

According to German site Motorsport-total Fisichella has to raise 10 Million Euro from his sponsors to get the Force India seat.

10 million for a season in probably the slowest car on the grid. A bargain!

If I was Fisichella I would say no. In my opinion he would perform better being a number two driver for a top team. He is not a leader.

I agree, but being as "old" as Fisichella is I don't think his F1 career can afford being out for a season. If he wants to remain in F1 he needs to race in 2008. I don't think the Force India seat will give him any opportunites for 2009 though unless he really outclasses Sutil, which I doubt.

Exactly, there is little point for him to fight so hard for a seat. Even if he gets hit, who will want to hire him in 2009? Especially when the grid is this talented? :wonder:

He should have let it go, just like Ralf Schumacher did

klein would be interesting. fizi is good for marketing purposes.

maybe klien could be their test driver, and if giancarlo proves unworthy, then klein could step up, thaty would probably cause problems with the sponsors though.

We will finally know who took the remaining seat on January 11 (Friday in a week). According to The Hindu, it will be announced in Bombay, India.
