I think it would be nice to see some more mfgs in V8's. Ford vs. Holden is cool but maybe 2-3 more brands would be nice. Is there much history of that?

Yep. Lots of people think there should be. Toyota and Mitsubishi have tried. They even developed new style motors and do away with the old pushrod style they have now. It was rejected a couple of times.
I wish there was other makes.

I like the fact that their are only two makes. If you follow the sport you either support ford or holden. No nuetral ground. The banter that goes round if the make you support wins or loses is great.:) This formula works for the V8's but I can't see it working in any other form of racing.

DTM is a series that I know very little about.:o Coverage of it in New Zealand is very small and always late.

Not to get off topic or anything, but... Hey Radar! Haven't see you around here in forever:eek::D Good to see you back:thumbsup:

Radar has been around here a long time:cool: He's in the second best trout fishing spot in the world:D;) Good fishing must directly relate to the amount of good Racing coverage

Thanks salty. I do have time in the next couple of weeks to make more posts. It's been a busy year.

A way to get fishing into topic on topic is that a great fishing spot in New Zealand is in lake Taupo and surrounding rivers and streams. Taupo is the next round of the NZ V8 series. Round 3/7. The driver that won the previous round was Paul Radisich who at the start of this year drove for TKR in the Aussie V8 series until a very public spat between him and TKR boss over not getting payed. :)
