I rented the first 2 movies of the Bourne Identity series to watch tonight. These are the Matt Damon movies that people talk about a lot. Believe it or not I have not seen any of them. The movies are..

The Bourne Identity
The Bourne Supremacy
The Bourne Ultimatum

I got the first 2, the last one was not in stock.:(

Anyone else seen these ?

Yeah, my friends talk about them a lot so I figured I better get on the ball and watch them. I was hoping to get all 3 but the first 2 is good. Its a good start.

I've seen two of those and they are ok. A friend of mine said that Ultimatum is also good. Matt Damon in the role is not convincing, Bourne should be much older...Try the books, they are pretty decent.

I haven't read the books to know how he is represented there but with the pace and action in the movies there's no way he could be older. He's got that young foot soldier type role (not saying Damon was perfect just the character) that seems to fit the age used. (At least IMO) I really liked these movies and am looking forward to catching #3 soon. You should like them DR.

I haven't seen the third one yet either:( We keep meaning to, but I've been catching up on 24 season 6.

I'd like to see the first 2 again, just to refresh my memory. They are really awesome movies. I don't say that about a lot of flicks, and I rarely see movies in theater, because most are just trash. I saw #2 in theater, and I'm glad I did:thumbsup: Matt Damon does a great job IMO.

I watched the last one tonight. Sweet:D Should have really refreshed my memory with the first two mind you, but you don't need to see them to enjoy it.

I'm glad I didn't read the books first. My expectations would have been too high, much like the Thomas Harris books-turned-movies (Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, etc). It would have been difficult to do the movies exactly like the books, seeing Ludlum wrote them during the Cold War. The modernism of the movies is a good thing I think:thumbsup:.

Put 6 hours of your time aside Jo. Call in sick one day and have at it:lol:

Yeah, the 3rd one really ties into the 2nd one pretty good.

I haven't seen the second one since I saw it in the theater, but you're right, you could have run them back to back pretty much:thumbsup:

I wouldn't be surprised to see a fourth movie in the franchise. Ala James Bond style.

Here's an interview with Matt from my favorite radio show in Seattle. He even goes into detail about how "Matt Damon" came about the way he did in 'Team America' Great down-to-earth dude, and a great actor:thumbsup:

Thanks for the interview salty. Yeah, the 3rd movie left you hanging again for a possible 4th one.

I do like Matt Damon as an actor. He does a good job in the Ocean's Eleven movies too.
