Toyota presented their new car at Köln on thursday. Their new ride is excepted to be a huge step forward. When Toyota came into F1, it was speculated that it's based on design of Ferrari. But in 2008 we will see a white-red McLaren . The most significant changes according to Toyota have been made to the gearbox, aerodynamics, wheelbase (longer) and suspension, which has been their 'achilles heel' since they entered the circus.
Teams drivers will be Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock.

The car looks good from the front view but the other views, it looks rather plain.

I think that's going to be a theme this year. At least at the launch phase. I think the new aero rules have the greatest "visual" change to the front end. I think the teams are also holding back a bit so as not to give away too much to the opposition until last minute.

Other than the front that car looks about 4 years old. Compared to the Ferrari and McLaren there is almost no little pointy bits sticking out.
It also has those rediculous looking false wheels that Ferrari uses.

Maybe Toyota got a few pages from Ferrari last winter too!

Those wheel caps reduce air resistance and somehow they also cool breaks so it's nice innovation I'd say. They look much better when just black, and not try to imitate wheels with graphics. :)
