Finnish newspaper Turun Sanomat wrote today that Baugur Group from Island has bought Williams F1 Team shares worth of 30%. According to the story they will have an option to buy all the shares later. Baugur Group owns eg. one of the worlds biggest toy shops 'Hamleys' which is already a sponsor for Williams.

Baugur Group from Island has bought Williams F1 Team shares worth of 30%.

Just to add the Baugur Group is an Icelandic Investment Company. There are rumors that the Executive Chairman, Jón Ásgeir Jóhannesson, is acting on his own behalf and is not representing the company.
