2008 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona

Im suprised there hasnt been a thread opened up about this race. It starts this Saturday, Jan. 26th at 1:30pm and goes thru Sunday, Jan 27th at 1:30pm.

Anyone going to this ? Im not sure if Speed Tv is carrying any of it or not.:confused:

I've seen it on SPEED before, but I don't know if it's televised even close to the actual event:confused:

They race different styles of cars...DP (Daytona Prototype) type and GT (Grand Touring) type.

Oh, how I hate those big 24h type races!!! :banghead:

Well... only in the sense of having to add the results for Driverdb. 50 or so cars times three or so drivers all separated in different classes equals several hours of tedious work. :lol:

I was supposed to race, but there was no time, as we are busy with our Middle East season.
The car# 21, driven by Diego Alessi, Karl Reindler, Vic Rice and Hal Prewitt.

I caught a little bit on Fox, then had a fight with Rogers our local cable provider, it seems to get Speedtv again, I have to subscribe to their most expensive plan, with the most channels! It's worth it, but it's the principle, their website implies you can choose individual channels for $2.50/ month apparently that's every channel but Speed! Sorry about the rant, it was good to see racing again, if only a teaser!

I think it's worth it too. That said I live in a University residence. I'm stuck with what they give, and Speed is not part of it.

So I miss a lot of racing.

Endurance, Moto GP, Touring cars, etc.

I actually think it's neither Franchitti's or Montoya's. I think it's Chip Ganassi's team.

Of course it is Ganassi's team but Dario was part of it so I was rooting for them. I believe Penske's team with Castroneves placed 3rd. that is awesome.
