Hehe , it is frustrating but that's why there is the World Racing Forum ;)

All the changes in technology, teams and drivers make the 2008 season opener even more an event to look forward to

Atleast they are showing these "classic f1 gp's" in Finland on weekly basis untill the season launches but....They aren't that classic. Seems that the team who made the chouses are just trying to find races for the masses in Finland like Kimi's 1st race, Kimi's 1st win, Salo's podium with Ferrari, Häkkinen's last race etc etc, CLASSICS??:sick:

Atleast they have shown us some real classics like 1982 gp from Las Vegas where Keke Rosberg won his title but the race itself was rather boring, and Spa 2000 which was a really thrilling but too many of these have been pure crap! Not a single race from seasons 1985-1989 :banghead:

When writing this I really had to check what is coming and I'm pleased to see that there are some GOOD gp's like: Donington 1992, Spa 1991, USA 1990 and Kimi's win at Monaco 2005 when he was absolutely fantastic doing insane amount of fastest laps in a row to maintain his position after it seemed that safety car ruined McLaren's strategy.

Here in india they are showing classic info on F1 on national television with the name GP Series

They are showing different season team-wise

First they will show seasons 1995-2000 for Mclaren then BMW/Williams etc

Bernie is missing the boat, this new fangled internet thing could be showing the entire testing schedule for fans like us, there has to be a way to make money doing that, right?

The American F1 station SPEED Channel used to something like that. They would 1 hour condensed F1 races from 10 years ago, the show was called F1 decade. But the live commentating was removed, and SPEED's commentators provided analysis while watching, and they could draw comparisons in how much F1 had changed.

One of the commentators, Steve Matchet, worked as a mechanic for Benetton in the races they showed. It was quite interesting.

Here in Brazil as usual they dont say anything, but that is untill a brazilian wins the title, than in the next year everything is about F1, too bad that Globo treats F1 like this.....

I hate Globo

It's the same thing in Canada, when Villeneuve is winning, everybody jumps on the bandwagon, when he isn't theres Golf!

We Swedes haven't had an F1 driver since 1992 (and no brilliant one since 1978) so you can imagine the media interest. One of the biggest networks dropped F1 for 2006 in favour of some football from Italy. Thankfully a smaller network picked it up and even managed to improve the quality of the broadcast. But for a few months it looked like there would be no F1 at all on Swedish TV. You can imagine how happy I was then.

We can only dream of re-living the great F1 races on TV. Thank goodness for Internet downloads.
