I can't sticky it.

You'll need to get your VCR, DVD recorder, or DVR ready if you want to catch any of these. Most are at 5-7am our time other than the Noth and South American stints. SPEED shows them ALL live and usually rebroadcasts at noon central. I may try to find a way to record and edit them for avail online. I have to get a DVD recorder first.

Thread for incoming race is usually started 5 days before the race weekend so you can't miss it DR.

SPEED don't broadcast in Hi-Def. So you'll only get regular def recordings.

Luckily Canada's F1 provider TSN does broadcast F1 in Hi-Def.

Yes they do:D And it looks great! I didn't think they did the F1 races in HD though:huh: They're basically picking up the same feed that SPEED gets aren't they??

You're right and wrong. TSN converts the standard broadcast into HD. So it's not as clear as it could be, but it is Hi-Def.

You're also right and wrong regarding TSN and SPEED. Both get their feed from the race TV director, so if you switch to speed mid-race you're seeing the same pictures, but SPEED provides it's own commentators while TSN uses Britain's ITV broadcast done by James Allen and Martin Brundle.

Gerry Donaldson. They had some serious problems with that this year, especially in the final races.

He's been covering F1 since the 50's.

I don't question a great's commentating abilities, but SOMEONE get this guy a satellite feed!

I remember that. "Gerry? Are you there? Oh we seemed to have lost Gerry." on a couple of occasions.

The guys on SPEED are great announcers. David Hobbs, Bob Varsha, Peter Windsor and Steve Matchett.

Im also assuming since these are all overseas races, that they will be tape delayed here in the US, correct ?:o

ITV is the British holder of F1 television rights.

We'll get to see the qualifying and the race, both live, with a replay later in the day. The live stuff is usually at unruly hours for some of us here in N.A. Unfortunately we rarely if ever see the practice or warmup..

Live on SPEED Channel my good man.

Salty, pre-race warm up no longer exists in F1. The cars are locked in Parc-Ferme from the end of qualifying until right before the race. And SPEED usually shows Friday practice sessions live.

There are trust me, but it's easier to justify having a beer during the race at 12 am than the race at 7 am. It's just easier!

Getting up early on summer Sundays and watching the race while having breakfast was a tradition for me while growing up.
