WRF Prediction League 2008 Registration

[JoStream]

The 2008 season of the traditional WRF Prediction League will take place on a dedicated site.

Step 1
Please sign up with your WRF username here: Register (http://f1tipping.com/Register.aspx)
No alternations or deviations will be accepted

Step 2
Click 'Search Leagues', type in 'World-Racing-Forum' and join :thumbsup:

Step 3
Wait for your join request to be approved
Your WRF membership will be authenticated and you will be sent an official invitation

Step 4
Place your picks and discuss them at the WRF :D

The scoring system is as follows:

Qualifying
A correct 1st, 2nd and 3rd prediction wins you 10, 8 and 6 points respectively.
You win 3 points for picking a correct driver but in the wrong top three position.
You win 1 point if the driver you picked does not qualify in the top three at all!

Race
A correct 1st, 2nd and 3rd prediction wins you 10, 8 and 6 points respectively.
You win 3 points for picking a correct driver but in the wrong top three position.
You win 1 point if the driver you picked does not finish in the top three at all!

Bonus
10 points for predicting fastest lap driver.
10 points for predicting number of race finishers.
10 points for predicting the last driver to finish.

Quinella:
A quinella worth 15pts is awarded if you pick the first two finishers IN ANY ORDER.

Trifecta:
A trifecta worth 65pts is awarded if you pick the first three finishers IN CORRECT ORDER.

For each race, players choose to play either Quinella or Trifecta but not both. Quinella has a higher chance of success and Trifecta rewards more points for a successful attempt. Players receive team bonus points for participating in a league with more than 2 players in it.

Yes, on the PL site homepage once you're logged in. It took me minute to see it to. I requested the invite before I saw that Jo had already sent an invite of his own.

The PL looks fantastic! Easy to navigate once you spend a minute looking around (like Fatty eluded to doing:lol:).
I'll bet this years PL standings will be very close:cool:

Question though. Can you change your picks before the end of open tipping?? I was surprised how many of you had already got your picks in:huh:

I will be honest. I was at a loss in about all of that. Im not familiar with the drivers. races, etc. And I wasnt sure on whether to do the the quinella or trifecta..:confused:

This could be an interesting time. Maybe I will have beginners luck.:)

Quinella or Trifecta will make differences for sure, I've decided atleast for the first GP to go with Quinella since it feels more "safe". Just make sure that you bet top 3 drivers from teams like Ferrari, McLaren, BMW, Williams and Renault. They are most likely only teams to be on the podium this year. ;)

This is first time when WRF prediction league is held at F1-tipping so I'm not sure but I think that they are "secret" untill the race is held.

Thanks. Im going to have to try and remember all these fantasy leagues Im in. Im in an Indycar , NASCAR, and now this F1 league. Be a busy year.

In my Indycar league, I should dominate it. I have Danica Patrick, Tony Kanaan, Helio Castroneves, and Hideki Mutoh with Danica my primary driver!:thumbsup::D

When it says "Last Driver to Finish" do they mean last place or last place without being a dnf?? (I mean like if there are 3 dnf's and the last driver to cross still running, being 4th to last yet still last to "FINISH") ??????

Yeah you did make it a bit complicated. But I would think that would be the case. It gives you the option of 'How Many' finishers, which ultimately decides the amount of DNF's.

I do believe it means the last driver to 'Finish' the race. Not 'Last' place.:thumbsup:
