it has been reported on the New Zealand motorsport website that NZ will host a round at the soon to be completed Hampton Downs circuit from 2010.

That's great news for WSBK! Nice to see them return to NZ:thumbsup: The track looks awsome. What a venue!:eek: How'd ya like to own one of the apartments that overlook the track!?!:D That's a very cool idea. It has a sort of resort feel to it.

Couldn't agree more. It's great that such a prestigious series will make a stop there. Will this be the first time that there is a MotoGP / WSBK race in NZ? :wonder:

Actually, in the inaugural year of WSBK, some twenty years ago come to think of it, there was a stop in Manfeild, New Zealand. I believe they hosted the final round:wonder:.
