Its a short interview. Its funny really. You should watch it. He is basically saying that the Goodyear tires are junk and they should get some other tires in there. Check it out, its pretty good.
I say go with Firestone, they make the best tire anyways.
This is why I like Tony Stewart, he is not all politically correct, which is good, but he tells the truth and sometimes that truth hurts.;)

Because so much is riding your your tires!:lol::lol: Great slogan:rolleyes:
Yeah you're right. That was pretty good. I never even think of GoodYear. It's a granny tyre in my mind. If it was as bad as Tony said, why is it just now that it's been brought to everyones attention?

Well since rain prevented qualifying Friday for the Food City 500, it gave Tony Stewart and Goodyear officials a chance to have a meeting about last week's Atlanta race and Tony's comments.
Overall, the meeting went good. It was a constructive meeting and Tony admits his comments were made out of frustration but they were also made to get their attention. He even apologized for his comments.
But basically, Goodyear will still continue to provide the best tires they can and do extensive testing. Stewart's crewchief made the point that its frustrating to go week to week with different tires. He said its basically a "crapshoot". You dont know what you got until you get to the track.
Stewart also said he will still be watching closely how the tires perform and wont back down if they dont perform well.
His closing comments were..
"I don't want to hear what they're doing, I don't want to hear what they want to do, I don't want to hear what they're planning on doing," he said. "I just want to see what happens and see what the end result of that is.
"It was a good meeting, but at the end of the day, it's up to Goodyear to make it right. If having this meeting helps to make things better down the road, then this meeting was a success."

Haha , those were very harsh words! Goodyear is still the third largest tire manufacturer though, after Bridgestone and Michelin.
I've never dealt with them for my car, haven't seen them around much for that matter either

It was funny to hear Larry Mac, and DW in the booth the next week critisizing Stewart on his comments of Goodyear. Talk about a bunch of corporate shills, give me a break guys.
We know you are in bed with NASCAR, and NEWS CORP, but give us some honest analysis after a top driver publicly says the tire manufacturer is garbage.
