The first race of the 2008 Star Mazda championship was decided this weekend at Sebring.
Joel Miller (the 2007 Skip Barber National champion) dominated the event, being fastest in all practice sessions and then winning the race from pole.
Second was Britain's Charles Hall for Andersen Racing and third was Ireland's Peter Dempsey.
Fastest lap by Tom Gladdis* from Great Britain.

4. Alex Ardoin, USA
5. Tom Gladdis, GBR
6. Nick Haye, USA

* who last year never was better than 10th in a race in British Formula BMW - which could tell us one or two things:
1. He has greatly improved
or
2. The competition in American single seater racing isn't that fierce.
